The Domestic Violence Project (DVP)'s mission is to help survivors of intimate partner violence and their children live free of violence and abuse. We consider intimate partner violence nothing less than a human rights violation, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, immigration status, or otherwise. DVP is unique in its comprehensive approach based on the fundamental belief in the dignity and worth of every human being. We provide vital wraparound support to help over 1,600 survivors annually, including:

Legal consultation, advocacy, and representation in Family, Integrated Domestic Violence, and Immigration Courts
Holistic case management services including financial, housing, and benefits advocacy; workshops; and support and empowerment groups
Direct client assistance for basic needs including groceries, toiletries, rental assistance, utility payments, and more to help survivors move past "survival mode"
On-going intimate partner violence education and outreach activities throughout the five boroughs of New York City and virtually
